'Twas the Night Before Christmas: LCCTC's Hometown Holly Day Parade
‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the town
all the people were gathered from homes all around.
The dance court was nestled on the float carefully made
CTC elves were walking — to the kids candy gave…”
Once again, LCCTC joined in the merriment in downtown New Castle on Saturday, November 23rd for the Hometown Holly Days Christmas Parade.
As the crowds gathered along the the sidewalks claiming their very best vantage point, the Winter Wonderland Holiday Dance Court boarded this year’s float, T’was the Night Before Christmas, and began to roll down the parade route thanks to the generosity of McDanel’s Towing. LCCTC encourages friends and family to consider McDanel’s Towing, for their towing needs.
Built by LCCTC’s Construction Trades Shop, the cheery, cozy fireplace perched high atop the trailer was painted and decorated by junior Commercial Art student, Zoey Galat.
The dance court is made up of sophomores Lucy Allen ~ Restaurant Trades and Marina Burrell ~ Health Assistant who represented their classmates with a warm smile bringing Christmas cheer. Junior attendants Isabella Blews-West ~ Veterinarian Assistant and Commercial Artist ~ Zoey Galat were happily on hand to warm the hearts and wave to the crowds who gathered. Queen Candidates included Keegan Wallace ~ Veterinarian Assistant, Bailey Eaton ~ Collision Repair, Cailin Lyons ~ Veterinarian Assistant, Caitlyn Ball ~ Cosmetology, and Amelia Hogue ~ Cosmetology. These young women were eager to don the red Santa hats adding to the festive theme of the day.
LCCTC’s Elf Team carried the banner and walked alongside the trailer, passing out candy to children who were eager to satisfy a sweet-tooth.
This parade kicks off the excitement for LCCTC’s Winter Wonderland Dance to be held on Friday, December 6th where the senior queen will be crowned and sophomores, juniors, and seniors will dance the night away.
