Pride and Promise ~ November:
LCCTC’s Chapter of the National FFA Organization is “Learning to do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, and Living to Serve.
As members of FFA, they hold weekly meetings, prepare for competition. Their active participation in FFA inspires leadership, personal growth and career success — all through agricultural education.
Since it’s inception two years ago, our school’s FFA members have been pretty busy selling coffee & hot cocoa, hand-dipped chocolate-covered pretzels, cookie dough, and hand-made wool balls to raise money for several events. They have participated in career and leadership events and have competed in District and State championships. They have attended the National Convention and participated in service projects including dog grooming at Bark for Life associated with Relay for Life to benefit the American Cancer Society.
This month LCCTC’s Joint Operating Committee is proud to present the Pride and Promise award to the Cailin Lyons and Linsey Watson who presented at the school board meeting on their trip to the National Convention, and to Mrs. Ariel Yanak, VA Instructor and FFA Adviser.
