Wack a Wreck for Wounded Warriors

“Do you mean I can take a sledgehammer…and hit a car with it…and I won’t get in trouble?” This sounds like an idea out of a dystopian movie, but during the School Wide Positive Behavior picnic at lunchtime on Thursday, May 30th, it was reality.

This opportunity to take out a little aggression in a positive manner wasn’t all just for fun; it also raised money for a very important cause. Mr. Orelli, SWPB Advisor, and Mrs. Pasterik and Mr. Ovial, Peer Leadership Advisors, would like to thank Keegan Wallace from Vet Assistance and her father, owner of Wallace Towing, for bringing us a car to smash. Students paid $1 for 3 wacks or $5 for 10 wacks.

Peer Leadership would like to thank the students and staff for their generous participation to the Wounded Warrior Project.   Lawrence County CTC of $163 and with the help of a generous donation LCCTC will soon donate a total of $200 to the Wounded Warrior Project of Western Pennsylvania.
