We Can Do Anything: Nick Neupauer, Valedictorian
Nick Neupauer, Gas and Oil Class of 2020 ~ Valedictorian
Thank you Mr. Milanovich.
Hello fellow graduates, Lawrence County Career and Technical Center faculty, staff, and guests. Thank you for coming to our virtual graduation ceremony. I am honored to be able to speak to all of you. First, I would like to thank all of our teachers for helping us through these last 3 years of our high school career. It wouldn't have been possible without each, and every one of you. The class of 2020 thanks you.
The Class of 2020 is certainly unique. We have all been through a tough time these past couple months. We have had to face adversity that no other graduating classes have had to face. I believe that it will teach us a hard but valuable lesson, “Do not ever take anything for granted.” We can now use this lesson throughout our life to better ourselves. Let us use this unique experience to leave the Lawrence County Career and Technical center and go make a difference in our communities, across the state of Pennsylvania, and across the United States.
Whether your path takes you to further your education, join the armed forces, or go right in the workforce- chase your dreams, and believe in yourself. A wise man named Theodore Roosevelt once said, “Believe you can and you're halfway there.” If we have made it through a worldwide pandemic, we can do anything.
Good luck Class of 2020.
Nick doesn’t shy away from giving it his all — at school, at work, or at play. It’s a quality that is readily available in any Valedictorian. Nick was typically the first to turn in his homework, and as President of Peer Leadership, he made sure that he kept his word with every promise made. He enjoys bull riding and good, clean living. When he graduates, Nick would like to continue bull riding; he would also like to attend farrier school and continue to work in the agricultural industry.
