The Votes are In: Prom was a Success!
It was a night for glamor, beauty, sparkles and flowers and bow ties galore, and of course — it all began on the red carpet for April 23rd, 2021 it was time for LCCTC’s Prom: A Night in Hollywood!
Dressed to the nines, students walked the literal red carpet and immediately, in shoes with shine and sparkle and velvet — even feathers — each received a star’s treatment; Promenade was filmed by our very own Videographer in Residence, Mr. Brad Windhorst. Quite comfortable holding a microphone for karaoke, Mrs. Melissa Lyons put her skills to good use as she played the part of the Reporter on Scene to introduce each dancegoer. The theme of the evening, A Night in Hollywood. Decorations of black with red and gold accents filled the banquet hall of Medure’s The Villa. Golden chairs, red table napkins beckoned to each as they entered the doors. Golden Oscar centerpieces set the theme with each seat offering its very own pair of Hollywood glasses — sure to keep the bright lights of the night at bay. However, most lovely were those who came to enjoy the evening as their smiles outshone even their beautiful dresses and suits.
A hearty, delicious dinner of baked chicken, pasta in vodka sauce, parsley potatoes, butter/garlic green beans, and salad gave everyone the energy to dance the night away. Soon after the last plate was filled, the dance floor filled with revelers moving to the beats from the DJ. Those fancy shoes were put to good use — well by most who made the most of every moment on the dance floor. Be sure to enjoy the final picture of the gentlemen left — only for a moment — to their own devices — quite literally!
