Pride and Promise ~ September: Mr. Kevin Kelley, UPMC

Say hello to the LCCTC September Pride and Promise Award-winner, Kevin Kelley! Mr. Kelley is an executive with UMPC and father of Isabella Kelley, a VA shop student from Union School District.

During August's New Student Orientation school tours, Mr. Kelley noticed that our Health Assistant shop may like to have a few gently-used hospital beds. Instructors Vince Pavia and Valeria O’Donnell said, “Of course! Yes!” Before you could blink, the hospital beds were set in place and are already being utilized by our students as they prepare for their future careers in health.

Mr. Milanovich, Principal of the LCCTC states, “Thanks to donations from Mr. Kelley and UPMC — and from so many others in the past, our students are able to train using the most updated equipment possible. It’s this crucial difference that makes our students job-ready when they graduate, and for this, we are grateful.”
