CA Earns Accolades in Hoyt Exhibition
The Hoyt Exhibition has released the award recipients for their Lawrence County High School Art Exhibition. We have a lot to be proud of with LCCTC Commercial Art students walking away with four of the nine honors offered!
The competition was stiff with some extremely high-quality entries from 8 home districts, homeschool student entries, and ourselves. Of the 95 high-quality works submitted, our students obtained close to half of the awards, and combined, our students earned $400 in cash prizes!
Katherine Tillia (junior from Ellwood) was awarded 2nd place for her digital print “Fox Collage”. In addition to an impressive line on her resume, Tillia will also receive $250 cash for the honor.
Each of the following received merit awards and will take home $50 for their achievements.
Jackie Fagan (junior from Neshannock) for her digital illustration “Zodiac.”
Macknezie Helle (senior from Union) for her digital illustration “Share the Wealth.”
Jasmine Wrobleski (senior from New Castle) for her acrylic painting “A Childhood Forgotten.”
We invite you to visit the Confluence in downtown New Castle and see the talents of so many Lawrence County students — but keep your eye out for our LCCTC entries; you’ll soon see that there is a lot to celebrate within our Commercial Art department!
