At LCCTC, we don’t just learn about a skill; we learn by DOING that skill!

Today, hands-on experience was the lesson of the day in the Cosmetology shop. Ready to shave his beard that had remained from “No-Shave November,” SRO Corporal Hoyland from the New Castle Police Department placed his trust into the skillful hands of Cosmetology senior Maylene Ritter (EC). Known for her excellence in nail art, Maylene’s lesson of the day was to pick up the clippers, to give Corporal Hoyland a makeover, and to have a bit of creative fun at the same time!

And although Maylene is known as a skilled manicurist, by the looks of today’s lesson, she may be developing a second area of expertise — barbering!

So now — we “mustache” ask you a question — “Do you like Corporal Hoyland’s new look?”
