As the final pages of the year come to a close, and thoughts of summer cloud the minds of students and staff alike, students at Lawrence gathered in the quad to battle for the top spot “The Golden Eagle Award”, and this year, a secondary award, “The Golden Rope”! It was the 2023 Shop Games, and it was a lot of fun!

On behalf of Peer Leadership, the advisors — Mr. Ovial and Mrs. Pasterik, would like to say a BIG THANK YOU for everything that went down today at Shop Games. The kids had a great time and were very well-behaved, and that is because of the efforts of all of the school.

Tim Barton, Bradley Ours, John Hardy, David Gardner, and Steven Snyder for coming in clutch with a new trophy, the “Golden Rope”.
George Dudich and John Hiler for preparing the playing surface and making things happen, all the time.
Kurt Miller for donated fire hoses from Bessemer Fire Dept. for Tug-Of-War. The best part of the Games in my opinion.
Brad Windhorst and Ryan Nych for the music and media tent were a great touch and set the tone for the day.
To the teachers who stayed inside to supervise ~ Thank you for volunteering and staying inside with the kids who didn't want to go outside. That was very much appreciated!
To the Vocational Teachers ~ Man, you guys were awesome yet again. Thank you!
