RT Talks Turkey and MORE!

Our Restaurant students have been hard at work cultivating their desire to serve and work in the food and hospitality industries.

In the month of November, practical experience included actual food preparation in the school's kitchen as students planned, prepared, and served their traditional Thanksgiving meal.

This year’s menu included the traditional turkey, and as always, there is plenty to brag about, but their homemade sides really sealed the deal. Stuffing and green bean casserole and mashed potatoes with grave and salad brightened the plates of hungry patrons. “MMMmmmm — this is sooo goooood!” was quite audible as bites of sweet potato casserole heaped with lightly-browned marshmallows passed the lips of all who dined. And if THAT wasn’t sweet enough — the desserts…oooh the desserts! Could we enjoy just one more slice of a pumpkin roll AND a piece of pumpkin pie?

Let’s just say that we can be thankful that calories don’t count on Thanksgiving Day. RT — we ALWAYS look forward to enjoying the fruits of your labor, and we look forward to the next time you practice your trade with delicious treats!
