Four-Time State Gold Medalists are Recognized

Representative Chris Sainato took some time from his busy day to personally recognize LCCTC’s Opening and Closing Team for their achievements at the SkillsUSA State Championships. The team consists of Veterinarian Assistant senior Tabatha Zang, Cosmetology senior Shelby Keister, Cosmetology junior Alyssa Wilson, Masonry & Construction Trades senior Trenton Yale, Veterinarian Assistant junior Gianna Bochert, Computer and Office Technology senior Jaden Locke, and Restaurant Trades senior Riley Leonard. The Opening and Closing Team has returned to LCCTC with a gold medal for the last four years in a row!

During competition, judges evaluate the contestants’ understanding of the symbolic representation of the colors and assembled parts ofthe SkillsUSA emblem and to evaluate teamwork and professional presentation skills. This is a teamwork and oral presentation contest includes seven registered members in the roles of president, vice president, parliamentarian, reporter, treasurer, secretary and historian.

We’d like to thank Representative Sainato for presenting the Pennsylvania House of Representatives Legislative Citation to our medalists and for his words of encouragement and wishes of good luck to the team and the other two other gold-medal winners from LCCTC as they travel to Louisville Kentucky for national competition in June.
