Work Hard; Succeed on Purpose: Valedictorian & Salutatorian 2020

Liz Edinger, Restaurant Trades Class of 2020

“Successful people are not gifted;

they just work hard,

then succeed on purpose.”

~ G. K. Nelson

Nelson’s quote truly defines our Valedictorian Nicholas Neupauer and Salutatorian Tyler Wehman. LCCTC is truly proud of these two for working hard over their high school careers to earn this achievement.

Our Valedictorian Nick is in Oil and Gas.  He is currently President of Peer Leadership and was instrumental in establishing the successful Turkey Box campaign for LCCTC families at Thanksgiving.  He has many academic achievements including earning the Presidential Award and has authored articles for the Eagle Blog. Outside of school, Nick’s passion has been wrapped in Bull Riding and even has his own brand, Roughstock Riders Apparel. Over the years, Nick has truly grown into a successful leader -- one who others can rely upon. After graduation, Nick plans to continue bull riding and to attend farrier school; Nick is our modern-day cowboy!

Our Salutatorian is no underdog. Welder Tyler Wehman is currently in the National Technical Honor Society at the CTC. Tyler is always willing to help others when help is needed and can often be considered a “go-to-guy.”Outside of school, for the past six years, Tyler enjoys competitive shooting with the Lawrence County Young Guns; he also has a passion for duck hunting.   He holds certifications in  2G Flux Core and Fitter through Littell Steel where he currently works. His plan for after graduation is to become a Steamfitter.

These two young men have earned Valedictorian and Salutatorian because they have worked hard to always put their best foot forward. These two are the epitome of the benefits of a good work ethic and an outstanding vocational education.

Congratulations Nick Neupauer and Tyler Wehman!

Good luck in all you do!

Continue to make us proud!
