ROVA ROTARY SCHOLARSHIP: "The quality of a leader is reflected in the standards they set for themselves." --Ray Kroc
"The Youth Rotary Outstanding Vocational Awards (ROVA) is an intensive educational program for vocational youth leaders. Young people are chosen because they are youth who are potential leaders attending a Vocational Education Program and who are instrumental in rendering service projects to their peers, in their school, and within their community.
One of the goals of the ROVA experience to build self-confidence and self-esteem in young people. The ROVA Scholarship could have been bestowed upon any of our seniors who proudly wear the gold and navy cord, but the one who has truly grown in service and self-confidence through her own goal-setting decisions has been Cailyn Lyons. Congratulations, Cailyn.
WILSON-MOFFETT SCHOLARSHIP: Congratulations on being the recipient of the 2020 Wilson and Moffett Families Memorial Scholarship award. Your selection was based on your academic achievement and the recommendation of the faculty and school administrators. It is evident that you are one of the leaders of your senior class of 2020. As a native of New Castle and Lawrence County I am proud of you and your classmates. You represent the future of your family, our community, and our nation.
In closing, the Wilson and Moffett families wish you the best of luck in the pursuit of your chosen avocation as a veterinary technician. Always look to your family for inspiration; as they are a person’s best role models.
