"Where Two or More are Gathered..." SYATP 2020

See You at the Pole™, the global day of student prayer, began in 1990 as a grass roots movement with ten students praying at their school. Twenty years later, millions pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September.

Today LCCTC’s students gathered at the flag pole outside of the school. Organized by Peer Leader Savannah Young, Cosmetology senior, prayers were lifted for staff and students’ health and safety, for the school, our city, our county, our state, our nation, and our world.

With the pandemic, more so than ever, these prayers are needed as our students were able to network with those who are like-minded. Staff who joined sent the message to students that they are supported. Matthew 18:20 seemed to be the theme of the morning, and the message to the students was this: You are not alone.

See You at the Pole™ is simply a prayer rally where students meet at the school flagpole before school to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation to God. See You at the Pole™ is a student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event.
