Meet Your Junior Class Secretary, Collin Matters

Meet Collin Matters, Restaurant Trades junior from Shenango!

Q: What clubs, sports, or activities have you been involved in at LCCTC?

A: Collin will play an active role in Student Council this year. You may also see him in the Cooking Club, as well.

Q: What is something interesting that people might not know about you?

A: I enjoy learning new cooking techniques; I just learned how to make meringue cookies, and I’m quite please with how well they turned out!

Q: What are you most looking forward to this school year?

A: “I can’t wait to earn my license! “

Q: Who in your life deserves a shout-out for helping you make it this far?

A: My grandpa was as tough as nails on me, but he did so because he wanted me to be my very best self. He taught me a lot, and for that, I am grateful.

Q: How has LCCTC changed your life?

A: “I have always enjoyed cooking, but since I’ve been here, I have developed a deeper love and appreciation for the art of cooking. Perhaps in 10 years, I’ll own my own stand or restaurant!”

Q: If there was one food that would sum up who you are, what would it be? And why?

“If there was one food that would sum up who I am, it would be a fortune cookie! I may look quiet, boring, bland, and dull at times, but when you get to know me, you will see that I can be a friend to those in need, a shoulder to cry on, a brother at heart, or a shadow of wisdom to those who will hear.”
