They are incredible examples of what hard work and dedication to the task at hand can do!

Once vetted based on their overall grades, attendance, and discipline, they went through an application process that included a series of applications and essays. These students must maintain an overall 3.5 GPA, however, of those inducted, most have achieved more. There is an emphasis focus on a high standard of achievement and skill development, not solely on a student’s academic record but also in their CTE performance.
Once inducted, Mrs. Donna Pasterik, NTHS Advisor and Biology Instructor, carefully keeps an LCCTC eagle-eye to ensure that these members maintain their pledge to continue excellence is maintained; the end result: eligibility to apply for numerous scholarships available to NTHS members, distinction of wearing the purple and white honor cords and tassels to their graduation regalia, and honor of adding this technical membership to their resumes for future employers to take note that they are job-ready!
The goal of the National Technical Honor Society is to see that deserving students in Career and Technical Education be recognized. An additional goal of NTHS is that the people of the community become aware of the talents and abilities of the young people who choose vocational education pathways to a successful future — thus, empowering members of NTHS to continue to strive for an ever-increasing standard of excellence!
