Rainy Day? Fun Anyway: Class 2021 Trip
With great anticipation, LCCTC seniors who dared to brave the rides traveled to just south of Pittsburgh to Kennywood Park, and after a long time of staying at home, it was good to get out and just be KIDS!
The kids were able to get a pretty good day filled with rollercoasters and rides, as most were open. A picnic lunch made for a delicious break, and then came the rain. We’re pretty sure that didn’t deter the fun, though. Imagine: Plenty of rain, soaking wet teenagers feeling free to be kids again; it all adds up to a fair amount of jumping in puddles, doesn’t it?
“We were able to dodge the rain and stay dry a little longer than I thought we would,” states Mrs. Brown. “But here’s the best: The park sent us home two-hours early, so we all got rain checks!”
BOO to rain, but HOORAY for an extra day to play! Brown shakes her head and chuckles, “The wild ride of 2021 continues!”
Cosmetology senior, Rachel Gatto considers, “Although it was a rainy day we made the best out of it; it was a rainy day full of memories.” (Speaking of memories; Rachel and Zoey recreated a 6th grade memory — you MUST check out the final picture below!)
Mrs. Cozza, Class Advisor for the Class of 2021, says, “It was just so nice to see everyone just have a fun time after such a trying year. I will really miss this group!”
