October's Pride & Promise ~ ELL Program at LCCTC

Congratulations to our ELL Program! With only two-weeks notice, Mr. Ryan Nych took on the daunting task of learning the ins and outs of running an ELL program. When many teachers are busy gathering those last moments of the summer sun, Mr. Nych immediately began taking classes so that, from day one, he was ready to get the job done. “It hasn’t been a perfect transition,” he admits, “but together, we’re progressing and growing every day.”

With her kindness and a fierce desire to help, Mrs. Stark is the ears & voice of the students. When their words fail, Mrs. Stark steps in to be their voice. She has quickly become an important member of our staff, and we are blessed by her.

Of course, this program wouldn’t be possible without the patience, trust, & hard work of our newest students who come to us all the way from the U.S. territory, Puerto Rico. They bring with them a rich & vibrant culture & a desire to learn.

Well done, ELLs! Congratulations to you for earning LCCTC’s Pride and Promise for October! It’s great to know you, it’s fun to learn with you, and it’s so good to learn FROM you!
