Edible Art

Restaurant Trades junior Karizma Brown put her talents to work for LCCTC’s recent open house.

Her finished products were almost too beautiful to eat, but if you happened to purchase one of these works of edible art, you’d say that this sweet treat was worth it.

Careful attention to detail, patience, and a steady hand is in order to make these Halloween creations. Bats and pumpkins, and spiderwebs, and leaves were on the list of creations for the evening.

Carefully, color by color, with an almost surgical steady hand and a large sense of patience, Karizma decorated cookie after cookie after cookie. And her most important tool? A toothpick!

“I really enjoy decorating cookies. I get to be creative, and I feel proud of what I’m able to do. In this case, I can help my shop raise money for some of the extras we get to experience and that makes me feel good, too!”
