Genareo earns Honorable Mention at SRU Exhibition!

Last night was the closing reception of the Juried Art Exhibition at the Martha Gault Art Gallery hosted by Slippery Rock University.

What an event! I wish we could share the energy of the room with you all. It was buzzing with excitement and anticipation as families and students awaited the possibility of leaving with the honor of an award.

We learned that this year's exhibition, the 11th year of the event, brought in over 600 entries with only around 100 making the show. As you already know, LCCTC was proud to have 14 works by 9 current CA students on exhibition last night and that alone was a testament to our students' hard work and professionalism. Of the 100 works that made the cut, 7 awards were presented which was no easy task for the jury committee as this show always features remarkable works that are museum quality. At times, it was hard to believe that it was high school students who produced them!

Of the 7 awards presented at the ceremony, we are ecstatic to announce our very own Tommilynn Genareo was awarded Honorable Mention with an accompanying cash prize. Please join us in congratulating her and our other 8 award-winning exhibitors on the enormity of their success.

The images attached do not do justice capturing the evenings, in the words of our students, "Vibe . . ."
