It Pays to Go to the CTC: Keystone Testing Incentive 2022
Photography by Austin Paukner (HA Class of 2023) and Maddy Werner (HA Class of 2024)
There was something abuzz in the air.
It was more than the upcoming holiday break.
It was more than the impending weather predictions
Whispers through the hallways . . .
“Did you get an email? I got one!”
“I’m getting $25!”
“I’m getting 50!”
“I’m getting $100 — just in time for Christmas!”
At 2 PM on the afternoon before Christmas break, we called the senior class down to the gym to witness the celebration.
“This is a season for promises fulfilled,” stated Mr. Rich. “We promised, and you delivered.”
On December 22nd during our Activity Period, we formally recognized our LCCTC students for passing one Keystone exam with a reward of $20, two Keystone exams with a reward of $50, or all three Keystone exams — Yes, the Biology, the Algebra, and the Literature Keystones — with a crisp $100.
Mrs. Caiazza stated, “Your diligence and hard work are to be commended!”

To the junior class, Mr. Rich suggests, “Do what you have to do so you get what you deserve.”
To those juniors and sophomores taking the Keystone exams in the spring, we wish you much luck! Study hard, and you too can understand in a literal way that “it pays to go to the CTC.”
