3 from LCCTC Connect with State Director of Education Pittman

On Friday, Cosmetology instructor, Ms. Jaime Jones and two of her student leaders from the Cosmetology program made good on a wonderful opportunity to attend the Greater Pittsburgh Regional Open Forum for Career and Technical Education.

Ms. Jones states, “The girls and I really enjoyed it. Destiny Robertson and Madison Peoples have nothing but great things to say about the experience. They said they enjoyed meeting like-minded students and visiting another CTC.” 

The State Director for Education, Judd Pittman, spent time with students to hear what they loved about their schools and to hear their concerns. 

He also spent time with the educators. Much of the conversation was spent on making the transition from industry to education more efficient for educators. 

Both the students and instructors felt that he “heard us”, celebrating our successes and truly listening to our need to make CTE even better.
