Catch Our Students' Banners at the Hometown Holiday Parade!
This Saturday, if you're heading downtown for the Hometown Holiday Parade, make sure to keep an eye out for some incredible artwork produced by our talented Commercial Art students! Several banners designed by our students will be featured prominently during the event, including the main banner leading the parade procession and two sponsor banners displayed on either side of the performance stage.
The main banner—which will kick off the parade procession—was created by our Basic/Intermediate Art students. Meanwhile, the sponsor banners, which will decorate the stage, were a collaborative effort between our Advanced/Intermediate students, with designs from Bug Bailey ultimately winning over the client. Robin Nye also made significant contributions to the design of the sponsor banners, and all of our students submitted professional-quality options for the client to choose from. While many outstanding designs were put forward, it was Bug Bailey’s design that was selected to take center stage this year.
A huge thank you goes to the Holiday Parade Council for partnering with our students on this fantastic initiative. We also want to extend our gratitude to Ashley LaPier for working closely with our students and securing the funding needed to produce the banners. This partnership has been a wonderful opportunity for our students to showcase their skills and contribute to the community in such a meaningful way.
If you plan to attend the parade and capture any photos of our students' banners in action, please don’t hesitate to share them with us! We'd love to see our students’ hard work on display in the heart of the holiday celebrations.
Wishing you all a joyful holiday season from the Commercial Art Department!
