SkillsUSA Costume Day 2024

Costume Day at the Lawrence County Career & Technology Center (LCCTC) has become a cherished tradition, one that students eagerly anticipate each year. This exciting event not only allows students to showcase their creativity and spirit but also plays a significant role in supporting SkillsUSA and its initiatives.

Yesterday, the halls of LCCTC were alive with festive energy as 111 students donned their most imaginative costumes. From whimsical characters to classic Halloween icons, the creativity on display was nothing short of impressive. There were cowboys, Chipmunks, Little Old Ladies, and even the Tooth Fairy! If you look closely at the photos, you’ll even see that the Rockford Peaches made an appearence! Each costume brought a unique flair to the event, fostering a sense of community and celebration among the participants.

SkillsUSA would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Costume Day. Your enthusiasm and creativity not only made the event a success but also contributed to a great cause. The funds raised during this event will go directly toward helping students prepare for the upcoming January Competitions, where they will showcase their skills and talents on a larger stage.

Costume Day is more than just a fun celebration; it embodies the spirit of SkillsUSA—promoting skill development, teamwork, and camaraderie. As we gear up for the competitions ahead, we’re reminded of the importance of supporting one another and celebrating our achievements, both big and small.

To all who participated, student and staff, alike, Thank you for making this day lots of fun!

Congratulations to “Harley Quinn” for Best Costume, Nadine Aquino and Logan Marcus as “a Pink Lady and a Greaser” for Best Couple Costumes, and the “Little Old Ladies” from Cosmetology for Best Group Costumes!
