HA Seniors Visit UPMC Jameson School of Nursing
A group of our senior students had the exciting opportunity to visit the UPMC Jameson School of Nursing, where they got a firsthand look at the recently built facility and gained valuable insights into the nursing program. This marks the second year in a row that members of our senior class have had the privilege to explore this top-tier nursing school, and we are grateful to UPMC Jameson for hosting us!
During the visit, the students had the chance to hear from the Director of the Nursing Program, as well as from instructional staff and current nursing students. It was an enriching experience for everyone involved—our students got to ask questions about the program, career paths in nursing, and life as a nursing student.
One of the highlights of the visit was the opportunity to tour the state-of-the-art facilities, which included modern classrooms, clinical simulation labs, and study areas. The students were inspired by the level of professionalism and dedication they saw in the faculty and staff, and many left with a renewed sense of excitement about pursuing careers in healthcare.
Of course, there was a little fun mixed in, too! The students were especially eager to try and find my class photo on the walls of the school (a tradition, it seems), and they couldn’t resist checking out the alumni displays as we toured the building. It was a memorable moment of connection with the school, and it was great to see them so engaged in the visit.
Thank you again to UPMC Jameson School of Nursing for welcoming us and giving our students such a meaningful experience. We look forward to future opportunities to connect and learn!
