THON @ LCCTC

This year, to raise money for the New Castle Public Library, LCCTC students participated in a THON fundraiser, sponsored by Peer Leadership.

They had a choice of a Lift-a-Thon, a Fit-a-Thon, or a Read-a-Thon. For the Lift, they were to Bench Press and Squat. For the Fit, they needed to do sit-ups, push-ups, and laps. And for the Read, they needed to see how many books they could read in April.

Each participant collected donations for a flat rate or per activity. Prizes were awarded to the students who raised the most money in each activity. In all, 12 students raised $527.50, and $150 was delivered as prize money. A check for $377.50 was delivered to the library by our very own bard, Mr. Randy Ryan.
