Welding Wars! Weeks A & B Winners

With a few days left and a pile of scrap, what can you do to keep the kids engaged? Welding Wars!

It is A Week vs. B Week in a competition patterned after the Food Network’s Chopped! Contestants compete against each other with little more than a box filled with mystery metal scraps and a heavy dose of ingenuity.

The teams have just one day to complete their project, and they must work together as a team to plan, create, and finish their project. Each project is judged by an academic instructor, a vocational instructor, and the principal.

And what do they win? Kit Kats, Mountain Dews, and bragging rights. And that’s what the winning team got.

Though both sculptures were praise worthy, someone had to win. Congratulations to B Week Team Schell for their tank design and to A Week Team Latcheran!
