Shop Games 2024

Thanks to the musical magic musings of Mr. Brad Windhorst and Mr. Ryan Nych, each shop selected their walk-out song, and soon, the Annual Shop Games began! Competitors entered the arena in cut-off jorts, matching signed shirts, and colorful swim trunks — shop by shop and prepared for the event of the year. They participated in highly-competitive games like pass the hula hoop, smack down the frisbee, bounce the pencil in the mug, and knock down the cup towers — every event added points.

Then, it was time to move from games of skill to games that required movement. Penguin walk relays, 3-legged race and sack race were the games for the middle of the day.

And then it was time — Principal Caiazza brought out the firehose for the event of the day — the tug-o-war!

And with that, another great day of Shop Games has passed.

Congratulations to Carpentry for winning the Golden Eagle Trophy for winning Shop Games and the Golden Rope for winning the Tug-o-War — even beating the staff!

A hearty THANK YOU to everyone involved. Literally everyone in the building had a hand to play in today's event. We could also like to recognize, once again, our Peer Leaders. They were great, as per the usual. Special recognition to Jhenevesza Miller and Coulter Streit who really planned and communicated the details of the event.

Happy Shop Games 2024!
