Packed with Love: LCCTC's Staff Makes Sure Kids Have Meals

Our kids may be at home, but our lunch ladies and Mr. Jason Williams of the Nutrition Group stay busy!

Today, they were tasked with packing 1,000 meals for both breakfast and lunch for our own students here at LCCTC to pick up between 2-3

They have roasted tray after tray after tray of pulled pork. Today they’re busy pitching in to sort tasty treats from the four food groups into packages for pickup for Ellwood City Buses to pick up and deliver to their community on Monday — 6,000 meals in all!

Again on Wednesday, they’ll be at it again packing for pickup an additional 1,000 meals for our LCCTC family distribution during the Thanksgiving break.

Working like a well-oiled machine, these ladies and gentleman tirelessly work to ensure that our county’s kids have something healthy and tasty to eat for the week. Now THAT’s something we can be thankful for!

_______________

Each week while we synchronously learn, LCCTC is offering — for free — 5 days of breakfasts and lunches each week — typically on Fridays. *NOTE: Next week over Thanksgiving break, we’ll distribute on Wednesday.
