"Riding on a Cloud": CA Wins Awards from Local Art Show!

We have great news to share in regard to our Commercial Art program.

Of 145 artworks submitted to this year's Lawrence County Student Art Exhibition hosted by the Arts + Education at the Hoyt, there were only 9 awards granted. Of those nine, our LCCTC Commercial Art students took home three awards!

Congratulations goes to our “33.3%” artists:

  • Junior Jasmine Wrobleski, Class of 2o22: “Smog” ~ Second Place

  • Senior Zoey Galat, Class or 2021: “Krusty Krab” ~ Merit Award

  • Sophomore Caden Hall, Class of 2023 “Rodent Ribs” ~ Merit Award

“It’s not every day that teachers get to start a Monday morning riding on a cloud with news like this, but hearing these results is, of course, very exciting!”

We encourage you to visit all of the artwork gallery on display at The Confluence in downtown New Castle. While you’re there, enjoy a specialized drink, a salad/sandwich/wrap and maybe even some live music! The artwork will be on display until June 3rd.
