The Design Industry is BOOMING!

Students in our Commercial and Advertising Arts program had a productive day this past week learning about careers in the design industry, portfolio review, and college scholarships with our visiting guest Mr. David from The Modern College of Design in Kettering, OH.

With an impressive list of alumni, The Modern has graduates working for major companies like Disney, Apple, and AT&T just to name a few. As one of the top schools of design in the country, LCCTC was proud to host our guests and share the merits of our CA program as well as help our seniors explore career paths and portfolio advice. 

Tristan Queener, CA senior (New Castle) now in his third year at LCCTC, has really enjoyed his education so far, but he was a bit concerned about being lost in the crowd in college, but Mr. David assured the students that teachers are able to give a considerable amount of attention to small groups and individual students.

“It was really interesting to see the students’ work. I was also excited to hear their success stories about how they landed great jobs after they graduated,” shares Queener. “It’s exciting to know that the art world has both jobs and opportunity.”
