DeRosa Wins Innovative Teaching Grant

We would like to congratulate Mr. Anthony DeRosa, Commercial Art Instructor, for earning the PSEA’s Innovative Teaching Grant which highlights his development of the student-run Art Mart!

This grant, initiated by PSEA in 1972, recognizes PSEA members for their contributions to innovative instruction.

Each $1,000 grant is awarded to educators who demonstrate innovation in education, and the Art Mart certainly fits this description: Applicants must demonstrate with clarity a timetable and description of activities — including costs, objectives of the project, observable results, and a demonstration that closes the achievement gap. The project must motivate students to learn and use creative use of educational resources and equipment.
