Opportunity Abounds at LCCTC: Career Fair 2025
We would like to thank so many businesses, schools, and military branches for spending your time with us for our Career Fair. When our students reported back to class, they could not stop talking about all of the opportunities that had been shared with them.
“I didn’t think I would be interested in learning more about the opportunities in the service but after speaking with the representative,” states senior Welder William Linder, “I was surprised to find the opportunities quite convincing.”
Sophomore Abigail Adams stated that she learned that not all colleges have to involve sitting in a classroom. “They have students learning a trade hands-on instead of sitting in a desk staring at a screen all day long.”
“The speaker I heard had such a passion for the programs offered at his school,” states Health Assistant Junior Mackenzie Morgan.
Oil and Gas senior Jaydin McLaren was surprised to learn all that CareerLink offers for both older and younger people. Commercial Art student Ava King said, “I didn’t realize all that they offer; it’s certainly a resource I can see myself reaching out to as I get ready to graduate.”
Jaydon Yeany thought he knew his gym teacher pretty well, but he stated, “Mr. Simon’s personal story about owning a small business and having learned from his mistakes really spoke to me.”
After hearing from SRU’s Safety Management Program and the State Parks Presenter, Matthew Fennel states, “I wanted to keep learning about the programs that many promoted!”
It was wonderful to hear the excitement in their voices! Our students valued your presentations and your conversations with them very much.
Again — we thank the representatives and speakers for attending our career fair, and we look forward to having you all back next year.
