Vet Assistant's Busy Week!

What a fantastic week!

On Monday, students were deep into theory studying sheep breeds and their genetics.

Tuesday was Shadow Day; potential students got to experience “Dog Day” where dogs were groomed for our Stick Up 4 Paws event ($5 bath and nail trim) where proceeds support our local K9 units.

We traveled to the Lawrence County Humane Society on Wednesday at bathe numerous dogs and help them socialize even more.

On Thursday we took a trip to Answered Prayers Farm to learn large animal skills and to shear some sheep.

Finally, on “Trap, Neuter, Return” day at Tails of Hope, the students were able to learn and help in a clinical setting. It was also Bring your child to work day!

Along with other little nitty gritties through the days of the week!! We had a busy AND productive week.

Partnering with Tails of Hope by creating a student program is one of the most rewarding experiences for the students in the Veterinary Assistance Program!
